Backyard Bats

There are two main types of bats that you will find in Massachusetts, the little brown bat and the big brown bat. While these bats look similar, they differ quite a bit in size. As you can imagine the big brown bat is larger, growing up to eight inches in length, while its counterpart is about four to five inches long. Bats may be a nuisance in your home but outside they are quite helpful in catching thousands of mosquitoes and other problem insects that you certainly don't want in your yard later. If you have a problem with bats in your home call Ransford Pest today:  http://goo.gl/F49q6d

Bees vs Wasps

Bees and wasps get lumped together as one, but they are actually quite different. Bees get a bad reputation from their more aggressive counterpart. Bees actually are not aggressive, produce honey and pollinate our plants and flowers. Wasps on the other hand, are aggressive and can/will sting repeatedly.  Wasps may pollinate a little bit, this is not their role. Their one similarity is that both should be removed by a professional. Contact Ransford Pest today regarding bee and wasp removal. http://goo.gl/19bbNw
